x-pack ?

did the escorts have a sticker/plate on the inner wings with 'special vehicle orders' on it? as im trying to get some info about an x-pack mk3 capri,i looked at today,but i'm finding very little from the loads of capri sites any help welcome

Not for x-pack as thats a dealer fit option not an order from the factory, mine has a special vehicle order sticker for black colour though

the 'v' 1980 3.0s x-pack capri(if it is an original) has stamped on the 'special vehicle orders' sticker, BP49 and at the bottom in the middle it has 'black paint'.is this normal on black only capri's ? what's on your escort one? i need to know as much info as possible ,to see if it's worth buying the car

cheers.so all black cars would have had a similar plate,nothing too special. i thought it would confirm the cars true identity

kel is your car a normal rs,or an x-pack?

I could say yes its a X pack as it had some of the Series X kit kitted when she was purchased new from the dealers (not the body panels).

but no shes not.

i was wondering if this sticker is only put on cars that had any 'X' bits fitted,no matter how small? because my brother ,who was trained at ford,can never recall seing this sticker on any car before.trying to find out if this capri is a genuine 'x' pack ,is very difficult
