  • I HATE MY CRAP CAR.......

i have spent so much time and money on my car, and it does very little to thank me, first job this winter was to fit adjustable rear shocks, the old one took ages to remove as i had to cut and drill the old bushes off, next was a toss ashley exhaust that i wasted ages on to trying to fit it, so it went back, i got a janspeed replacement, great i thought, until i realised , once fitted it touched my steering column..... i also wanted to lift the car back up an inch, so i order -1" springs from burton, bugger about fitting them and get it back on its wheels today....to find it is at the same bloody height BAS***D i also replaced most of the brake pipes too, i dont know if its cos ive been driving my focus all winter, but the RS feels crap to drive too........

i really have had enough of buying crap stuff that doesnt do what its supposed to, then i have to pay to send it back, so i've paid postage twice, none of it really works and my time is more precious to me than to just waste it all for nothing, if it had positive results i wouldnt mind, but its all for nothing....

i am thinking of just letting this one go, and maybe come back to the old scene at a later date, once ive forgotten just how arse they are.....forgive me....

if you think about it they were crap ford escorts 30 years ago , and by todays car standards they are now even crapper .

stick with it mate and that crap car will soon be giving you more fun than that luxurious focus

I have a bit of sympathy for Lee as i also have spent loads on my car and took it out yesterday to get the tracking set and test the brakes , 1994 was the last time i drove a mk2 and felt like a model T after years of power steering, air con, cossy power, etc, but after 5 minutes it was great to be back and my janspeed also used to hit the steering column but after a little modifying ok now , just need a bit more power me thinks cheeRS Wullie

Going to drive mine this year and I don,t care if it,s not to the standard I would be happy with. When I bought it first I drove it full time for about a year and loved it. It had sat around doing nothing now for 5 years which is a waste. Just drive the car and enjoy it. No point comparing it to a modern car. Its 30 years old.

btw, the janspeed manifold was close to my steering column cos my engine mounts were round the wrong way......pmsl
