cheers all -- im hoping it does turn up but to be honest if it isnt found quick i dont think it will be it will either be abroad or stripped--at the moment i just feel sick to think of my pride and joy been stripped or been driven by a tossa who wont care and wrap it round a tree..
As your car was so clean and in good condition, I doubt it was taken for spares or joy riding. It will probably end up being rung and sold on to an unsuspecting punter. Did you car still have the stamped in chassis number ? If not then its just a case of swapping rivet on chassis plates and number plates. As you know you can buy ID's on flea bay, unfortunately it is so easy. Invariably some of the trim or other bolt on parts will be swapped to confuse an inexperienced copper to throw him off the scent. I would get a copy of any photos you have off the car and give them to the police along with a written log of anything that may help them identify the shell ie panels repaired or replaced etc. I see from the images that your vin plate is on the o/s flitch rather than on the front panel. Its these types of things that will leave a tell tale mark on the body.
Keep your eye out for a black RS that seems to cheap to be true, for the condition its in and must be sold quick.
its mentined on the scottish site that this car was on ebay, not so long back probley a wrong pair of eyes went to look at it
Highly probable. That's why I only sell "Safe" stuff on there that doesn't involve people actually coming to the house! Still a shitty thing to happen but you have to be so carefull these days as the scumbags are beginning to learn how much our cars are now worth.
