  • MAY have found a car...comments please...

Hello all, I MAY have found a car but just got to look at it, it has the following spec:

    Terrecota RS2000
    2.1
    twin 45 dellortos
    Stg 2 head
    5 speed box
    Standard Fishnet interior
    various other bits
    Long MOT and TAX

    Full Service History

Spoke to the guy and he says the bodywork is very very good with just a small 1cm hole on the spare wheel well, and no welding done to it (mind you don't they all!)

The only bad thing seems to be it has a dreaded SUNROOF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now he says he will take £3500 for it, do you all reckon this is a good price??????

As I have said the only down side to me seems to be the sunroof, as really want one without, but there just does not seem to be anything about and I came across this one by accident!

    Any comments.........

sounds good for that money, a roof swap is about £600 inc roof panel then + paint if it is good then it will make a cheap enough car

Sod's law dictates it will sell before then but hey, that is life!

total load of crap if its got a sunroof mate ..you will get laughed and sneered at

what is the reason you dont want a sunroof ?? genuine reason ?

is it because "everyone" else says that mk2's shouldnt have sunroofs ??
and you are frightened what people will think ?

I say **** what people say ,if you think the car is nice with the sunroof buy it .

Right, went to look at the car and funnily enough was not quite as described...

                          1. The drivers floor was soaking wet.
                          2. There were a couple of plates on the inner wings.
                          3. The drivers seat was shagged.
                          4. Looked like the head gasket was gone...
                          5. etc.....

Needless to say did not buy it....so still looking!!

                              Yep, the usual 'mint car'....

A quote from the bloke selling it on the phone was 'I reckon spending a couple of hundred pounds will make it consort'........
