  • RIP Murray

Crikey, another legend has left us. He had a good innings but a loss nevertheless.

    Murray Walker tribute

As you say - a ripe old age. Sad, will never forget Muddy Talker.

Wonder how many of today's public TV personalities will be remembered fondly in 40 years time.

I first met Murray Walker many years ago (1987/88?) at Brands Hatch for the Rallycross Grand Prix. I was helping a friend running a Metro 6R4. Murray came into our garage, he was doing some research about our driver before Murray went into the commentary box, a very knowledgeable and friendly Gentleman.

Then, a few years latter, we met up again at the London Classic Car Show at the ExCel, Murray was promoting a book with the help of another motorsport legend, Sir Stirling Moss, both great Gentlemen, and both had time to talk to anyone. They will be sadly missed. RIP
