I was thinking that with the ever increasing price of 2 door cars that the 4 door cars may become a little more popular this year,,,good and bad comments needed

That's a good point, I think all Mk1 & Mk2's are now far less likely to be be scrapped than a few years ago.

However I think most off us would always imagine a fairly wide price gap to remain.

I have enjoyed seeing dealer adds over the last five years where 'classic car dealers' have put up 4 doors & estates for RS money......... !!

...and that's what really tickled me when I saw the ads.

Oh how excited they were when they snapped up an estate because they had heard 'old Escorts are worth a fortune now !'
I just hope the seller got a good deal at the speculators expense !

Sold my 4 door a few years back for 11k dealer put it up for 19k and now has it up at 22k,,needless to say it has not sold
