RS1600 badge

Looking at this RS1600 for sale (no, not planning to buy it, even though it's exactly the spec I always wanted!) I note there's no RS badge - the little round one - on the bootlid, which I thought strange. Or did the later cars not have it?

Hi later ones did not have them. Later ones had badge same as the wing badge.

Ah! My failing memory was pretty certain that they all had the wing badge on the left hand side of the boot lid (as did the TC and Mexico), not just the later ones. That explains it.
