Looking for a wee bit of info bought a Sierra 1.8 cvh j plate cause I need a gearbox for my mk1 escort is it a type 9 o my 75 cheers

Most likely a T9. You'll know if there's a MT75 underneath, the MT75 is massive. The MT75 was post fitted '87, mostly fitted to post '88 vehicles.
