Lakes Tour 2018

How can it be that when the Lakes Tour was first announced I put my name down on the 17th January and because I've been away for two weeks I come back to find the tour is fully booked and I'm not on the list.

We can't all be glued to our laptops waiting for the announcement to come and I think it is totally unfair that having been one of the first to put my name down and book a hotel that I cannot now participate.

To Be fair to the organisers this is how its been since the second tour , it has always been the same format that it is announced when the organisers are ready to announce the opening of the booking form then its first come first served basis until sold out
There has never been a name on the list beforehand format

Drop steve a message and ask to be put on the reserve list

Not having been on any tours in the past as car has been off the road for a very long time I was not familiar with the booking/allocation process and incorrectly assumed that having put my name down in January when the tour was announced and booked a hotel it would at least have declared my intention to attend and pre-booked a space.
Perhaps for next year and for the benefit of new members who are unfamiliar with the booking/allocation process the organisers could reiterate how the process works when announcing the intention to organise this or any other limited space tour?
I did pm Steve as per suggestion and he has since got back to me and booked me on the tour. Just waiting for confirmation so thank you to Steve and thanks to all who initially responded with comments/suggestions.

Only my 4th tour but have to say the build up and anticipation is all part of the tour ... keep it as is steve
