Lakes Tour 2018 Information
We hope to open entries to the Lakes Tour 2018 held at the Grasmere Show Field in the heart of the Lake District this weekend. However having a new venue brings in new rules!
I must stress to all people camping at the venue this year that your car will not be allowed to be parked next to your tent in the camp site area. All Lakes Tour cars will be parked on the show field next to the camping area and all other supporting cars will be in the car park - not my rules (H&S fire risk) so please bear this in mind when booking CAMPING, as l have to adhere to all H&S rules and fire regulations laid down by the new venue committee. Seventy pitches will be available on a first come, first served basis; the camp site is ring fenced with access to toilets and showers at all times. wrist bands will be provided upon arrival. Please note that no open fires are allowed. You will not have to move your tent on Sunday for the show, please keep the camping area tidy.
A small amount of camper vans are allowed - please contact myself for details and a pass. All camper vans must use green chemical waste.
The National Trust car park next to the venue is fitted with number plate recognition cameras. You have been warned so keep away from it as you should have no need to be in there.
With this being the first time at this venue, this year the gates will not open on Friday afternoon till 3.00pm. Food will be on site and the bar will be open from 4.00pm.
When entering the Lakes Tour online via the link on the Lakes Tour facebook page, Rally Sports Escorts site and Scottish Old Skool Escorts, please remember you will get an email sent back to the email address you have entered on the online form. It may drop into your spam folder. Please take your time when filling it in online, follow all instructions and remember to send me your completed form and payment in the post or via email or bank transfer by Sunday 8th April.
Entries will be opened with 200 available as normal and it will then shut down to be assessed and may reopen later in the week.
Please remember the Lakes Tour is a none spectator event and camping is ONLY for Lakes Tour entrants
