Modern version of the Mk2 heater resistor

Hi,
who would be interested in a modern version of the Mk2 heater resistor which normally houses inside the heatermotor-housing?
I could make a power-resistor with wiring but it would not fit inside the original position so you would not have to remove the complete housing and open it.
It is just a resistor so anyone with a soldering iron could make his own.
Price I don't know yet, but it will be cheaper than a NOS item!!

Mk3 transit £7 off eBay had one on last 2 escorts I have done ,self tapper screw to outside of heater box,

This one has 4 connections; is the Transit heater motor a 3-speed item?
Escort resistor has 3 connections.

One of the connections is for power feed, then 2 other earth to either side of switch which make the link back to motor
Just have to swap wire round till you get the right speed to correspond with fast and slow picture on heater switch,
The transit one is bit bigger so well up to the job
Try one leon ,has you say there is 4 but only use 3.

Looks like the 3 'together' are spaced to take a headlamp type plug? If you want one i'm sure we could club together and strap one to a homing pigeon LOL!
