TF was Preston, Lancashire.

Could have been Thomas Motors, Blackpool or Skipper of Burnley. I'm sure some others will come up with Lancashire RS dealers. Have you got the cars history from DVLA, it only costs a fiver, mine came up with the original registration application by the selling dealer.

If your mate used to own it and was a previous registered keeper then he can apply for records held at DVLA by means of the V888 form - this usually includes original dealer details
