Works car painting

Hi everyone, does anyone know whether the works escorts were painted body colour underneath i.e white on the outside and white underneath? Have had mixed views and difficult to tell from most photos.

A few had black inside and underbonnett as I was told the black absorbs the heat

White under bonnet and in boot. Helps when servicing in the dark.













Black inside cuts down on glare from the map light etc.

Thanks, I know about engine bay and boot. What I mean is the colour of the whole underside of the car.

The cars were built from new shells, bar a few late MKII's which were built from Sports to get round the Type Approval - Cars that ran without sponsors normally ran in white, so I would think these were white, so it would most likely the cars would remain white on the under side.
