Also why would anyone buy a car with no reg plates or vin plates and then need to buy a log book to make it some thing its not and put it on the road

1 , Who would buy a car with no ID ( possibly stolen ) and then try to disguise it with the ID from another car ?

2 , Who will try and pass off a standard car with a RS log book to be able cash in on the premium price

Every one knows that ringing cars and selling cars with ID that does not belong to it is against the law but it seems some people just dont care

Money, money, money. I know of quite some historic cars that are not the original cars they are believed to be, but re-shells or sometimes even completely new cars. They only need one buyer who believes their story...
A real shame and a loss to the true enthusiast.

It will continue ,,,last week on e bay a car advertised as a 1300L but comes wirh a Mexico log book ( withdrawn after a word with seller )

Genuine people agree this is bad practice but alas some dont give a damm

they've been doing this for a few years now.wonder how many they have followed up on ?

I reported a Mexico logbook sold on eBay, to DVLA last year which they placed a marker against & will investigate should anything occur with it.

The guy who won the auction spent over a grand on it.
