i decided to spend an hour tuning my rs up today as the guy at weber dealers has f$cked it up twice in the last two weeks resulting in me breaking down on the motorway last friday.aaanyway i reset the timing myself and adjusted the mixture and off iwent in the rain for a test drive ,the old girl was pulling over the seven thou again and i got carried away and lost it on a roundabout i just managed to drive out of it but the workmen digging up the pavement sh$t themselves although not nearly as much as me.any way it made my day and the old adrenalin was certainly flowing ,i think im getting too old for that kind of driving

Johnie I once got caught in a heavy downpour and spun the car more than once. I was accelerating normally from 2nd to 3rd on a sweeping bend and it was like being on ice. Lucky nothing was coming the other way.

I remember not being able to feel my legs for a few seconds with the adrenalin.

The MK2 RS can catch anybody out especially in the wet.

i didnt feel so bad about my last side ways moment cos people that were nearby cheered!
the back was sooo far out on the roundabout i thought i'd have go right round again.
it does get you heart pounding.

I showed a mate how much fun a proper rwd car can be.. he's a fwd scrabble addict, owns a Civic typeR. Took him out in the wet.. jesus its fun with a lsd in the wet
Spun it big time on a roundabout, had to do another lap. Shat myself, I drive a bit more carefully in the wet now.

I've bought a LSD so I can do this better. Going to fit it sometime over the winter. Hopefully every day will be a sideways one.

Quite nice the response you get from bus shelters and other drivers. They just love sideways action as well.

If you'd driven back past those workmen I bet they would have egged you on to do it again.
