Yes! Tax free now! It will be nice to receive the tax reminder with a big fat £0. Car’s tucked away waiting for better weather, then we’ll take her out to celebrate her tax free status.

You need to send the following to the DVLA.

A filled-in ‘Application for vehicle tax’ (V10), which you can get from www.gov.uk/dvlaforms and Post Office® branches

The V5 document with "Historic vehicle" written as a change

Valid MOT and insurance certificate

If car is registered after 1 January 1975, you will need an extract from the "Glasses guide" plus literature from the manufacturer that can prove the manufacturered date, usually from the chassis number. I got my details from the AVO club.

I sent all that with a note explaining what I wanted.

Martyn, I haven't done much to her as you did a great job. She recently had a new geared starter, distributor and HT leads. Still runs great. Saw your XL for sale, looks great... If I had a double garage, I'd probably buy it!

Tax dodger , yes bought her from Doyle around 2 years ago. The tax saving can be used to pamper her a bit.

Yeah. Got to sell the brown one as I have done a deal on a mk2 mex. nowhere to keep her with the lancia aswell. Too many toys so one has to go. Shame really as I really like the little brown bomber.
