As others have said, it would be very difficult putting anything on at the likes of Rowrah without an MSA permit. Kirkbride would be better, if I remember right they have a 'run what you brung' drag meet there and M Sport do some shake down stuff there. Hadrians Camp was built on years ago Alan.

I did talk to the guy at Rowrah about this last year but its always busy now with karts, last year on the same week end they had a National karting championship but he didn't rule it out and told me that would have to book a year in advance.
Anyway if we have a autotest who's going to tow in all the dead escorts and clean up all the gear oil, gears diffs and broken half shafts from the venue I could see this happing it would have to be on grass I will try and find a muddy field

Wigton Motor Club do grass autotests Steve and also run one on the big bit of ground (concrete) next to the indoor carting at Maryport, I think one of the members owns it. They've also done auto solos at the Truck Stop at Penrith but that's gravel isn't it?

A591 won't Steve. I can't see many wanting a play, Croft and Donnington are made for it, we have nowt like that to offer. Could have a word with Malcolm, Greystoke would sort the men from the boys.
