On the calendar I made for 2016 the UK holidays are pre-printed.
It says on the 4th of January "2nd January (Scotland)" ...
Is this correct? If yes, why on earth does Scotland celebrate (?) the 2nd of January on the 4th??

4th was a bank holiday

Because 2 and 3 were Saturday and Sunday, you can't have Bank Hols at the weekend, so it's the next working day Leon.

Leon, surely you have "feestdagen" (German = gesetzliche Feiertage) in the Netherlands?
