Cars for sale

I know some people are not happy at comments on cars for sale but if I was buying a car and I didn't know a lot I would be happy if someone pointed out any defects or wrong bits.the prices are ridiculous now and I looked at pictures of a for sale RS2000 recently with the sills,door gaps,and rear arches all over the place and that was from only a few pics yet it changed hands for mad money.only my opinion right enough

The right cars sell themsleves as they dont need websites/forums and £40 advert sites

I know of 3 recent big money sales of "known" cars and none of them were advertised and they achieved the "right" money

If people put their cars up for public consumption then dont cry if it gets talked about - if car is priced right and more importantly is right then you never gonna have a problem whether its advertised or not !

Too true.
Like all things, once there is a lot of money involved people/dealers just see mark ups and a quick profit.
Unfortunately they seem to get it, which only makes it worse.
Instead of running this site down for people pointing out undeclared faults and misrepresentations, maybe just boycott buying classics from dealers, whose only motivation is to see the exhaust pipe going down the road.

Everytime I look at a for sale post on here its the same old user names making sometimes uneducated remarks that really arent called for.

If your interested go and look if not wind it in as its not helping anyone or the site as it seems.

Is it only dealers getting wound up?
If someone puts a genuine, nice motor, up for sale at a fair price, then it gets nothing but good comments.
If someone puts up a car as something it clearly isn't and wants a kidney along with the sale then is everyone supposed to just say nothing?

The trend from what i've seen is most private people with genuine desirable cars have been using these dealers to sell their cars sale or return or have sold out right to them without being messed about and perhaps through fear of it being stolen and or what comments may be made when advertised on certain web sites .A dealer like everyone else has to make a living they have to dig deep to pay for the car in the first place good luck to them its up to the buyer what he wants to pay and this is probably another reason why cars for sale sections are thin on the ground.
