Its come out a lot better than I thought it would looks wise, of course this is a personally subjective view (I don't like the Mk2 Shape RS). I like the way they have lost the front that looks like a fish mouth, shame it's in really boring colours too. As for performance is a 0-60 time starting with a 4 getting a bit silly, how can anyone use that performance in the real world, would driving a car like that not get frustrating ????? Cars now are so isolated from the sense of speed I wonder how fun it would be in the real world compared to the new MX5 or the GT86 as a pure driving enjoyment car ? That's surely enduring love of our Escorts where Ford got the recipe so right.....
Saying that and not wanting to be negative, good on Ford to taking the fight back to VAG, this could be a real Golf R and Audi S3 beater. I'm in no doubt the engineering that has gone into it must be pretty impressive. I've heard a few people saying not nice things about a 'Drift' mode and Ken Block, if its selling Stateside then this will sell by the bucket load and sadly drifting seems more popular now than WRC or what ever top tier rallying is called now.
For me if was in the showroom.........I'll not be spending my theoretical £30-33K ish on one, I'd go for the Mustang in a bright colour with a V8 and be a good ol'boy.....Of course beating MK1Gaz on the 1/4 mile strip
