  • RS Focus depreciation

Just been offered 21k for my Focus Rs from a main dealer, given that I paid £250 more than that a year and a half ago thats not bad depreciation.

Thing is I cant bring myself to sell up as good as the offer is.

Just goes to show the Rs brand still ticks the right boxes for some of us

and the dealer has to make a profit on it, so you should get more on a private sale

I think its a good to time sell at that sort of money. The new model will hit these hard I reckon..They will of course come good again but I think you will need to play the long game to see this.

I have been surprised that they have stayed so high for so long. I was expecting to be able to pick up a 59 or 10 plate one for around £12-13k last year, but even high mileage examples are selling for a lot more than that!
            Cheers

Just bought a brand new Fiesta ST and the dealer was begging me to sell them my Focus.

Can't get enough of them and are normally sold within 24 hours.

They are a disappointment to drive though aren't they?

I was red hot to buy a couple of years ago...until I drove one.

A few years ago, some have sold their MK1 and MK2 Escorts stating the bubble was going to burst. Goes to show that the market is unpredictable
