a newlly built (say in the last 5/10 years)modern 4 bedroom house up in the western isles cost £200,000 plus and a 3/4 bedroom older built stone/concrete block about £120,000 to 200,000 now 10 years ago i built my 3 bedroom kithouse with concrete block cladding for £60,000 (110m square) which for is lucky as now there is noway i could afford to build the same house again .as the prices have risen so sharply
