Looking for a new printer 3 in 1 last one was a Lexmark good tool but the ink was more expensive than jet fuel

Does anyone recommend a printer manufacture where the refills are reasonable cost

    thanks in advance

    I use a Laser printer

It uses a photocopier type cartridge and is a copy/scan/printer

    BUT

it only prints in Black and White and for me that is all I need

note:- it scans in full colour so pics or ducuments etc can go to computer no probs

Can't go wrong with a Epson printer plus ink is reasonably priced , have to agree with you about Lexmark

I bought an 3 in 1 Epson a little while back, and I've given up on a printers all together now! The printer it replaced had quite large cartridges but these were a lot smaller, and I hardly had many printouts to show for them. I don't use my printer very often and it finaly blocked up. Every time I switched it on it seemed to perge all my ink away, even if I was scanning only. I just decided that for me they were a waste of money. I considered buying an alternative but could not find anything much better.

Laser printers are far more efficient that ink jet ones. Initial costs are more but worth it over a couple of years

Cheap as chips Cannon Pixma MG3550.
Works everyday, will print in colour, scan and copy. Also works wifi.
You can pick them up for less than £40 and the ink cartridges come in XL, which do last a good while.
When it breaks, which it hasn't yet, I'll throw it in the bin and get another.
