Any 1970's 911 is great buy but they've gone up alot in recent years so not that cheap anymore .
Modern 911 GT's , clubsports and "S" models will go up in price so any of those will do as good investment . The newer ones are foooooookin expensive to fix though so buy carefully . .
1970's 911 models are the most pure to drive but not as good as a sorted Escort with some power though .
My mk1 Escort is twice as exciting too drive as my Porsche is .sigpic 2.1 ATMO YB POWER .
Tick tock goes the clock and the clock don't lie .
12.4sec to 109mph With NO turbo , NO gay trailer , NO slicks , NO gas , NO race fuel and NO bits missing . Beat that !!!!

Plus the 911 porsche scene sucks big time , lol . Full of wax jacket plebs with no clue about cars and the professional engine tuners are useless and get excited when they get 70bhp a litre out of one !!!! ha hasigpic 2.1 ATMO YB POWER .

Well even mint/restored 911E's are £100,000+ now and they are the OAP spec slow model !!!!
£900,000+ for an RS version but there's still a few mk1 911's about under £20,000 .
Beware of back dated later impact bumper models at full on mk1 prices though as they aren't ever worth as much (even if they do look 99% the same) .
It's a bit like mk4 Escorts dressed up as mk3's , lol .sigpic 2.1 ATMO YB POWER .
