Looks like a new Focus RS is to be launched??

It has been widely reported, in fact, leaked what the spec will be "more or less" there have even been interviews with the managment where it has been "confirmed" that, for example, 4-WD will not be on the cards.

This RS cannot be launched as a 3-door, becuase their isn't one, FACT.
It has also been reported for the last 3 years or so that the car will not get all wheel drive (just like the last one and the Mk1 Focus RS).
True the car hasn't been formally presented but, in the reported spec, will be give-or-take what hits the streets.

Just the same as the press reports on the ST were correct.
I suspect the magazines are "briefed" anyway, to get punters interested…

RS gone to Rat Shit just like it's predecessors. it's too lardy in the corners. test drivers are finding it hard to justify it creditable as a real performance car.

modern so called RS marques may be okay and appealing to the modern generation but for most on here the MK1 and Mk2 are what we grew up with and thus command a place in our hearts

Christ what a load of bollocks I've just read!! I am old schooll as most of you know!

But the Mk1 focus was great the mk2 focus was incredible to drive and hopefully the mk3 if possible will be the same. They are great cars!

Agree with Hally, the Focus is a modern car with modern day performance and features for £30k.

It's not a Classic but the new breed of RS buyers don't want a classic they want a fast desirable car to drive with comfort, safety and speed. Plus it will hopefully increase Club Membership and who knows, in 25 years they may just become the Classic of the day
