form over function for me and I go without the ridges for a better looking 3 spoke

I have a four spoke and Boss that I found amongst the stash of parts I have,. although leather is really poor and needs retrimming - is it worth doing?

3 spoke for a mk2,springalex for mk1,4 spoke suits an rs turbo or a cosworth, have had both 3 spoke and 4 spoke on mk2 , the 3 spoke looks better by far but both are nice wheels,iv got one of each, must have had the 4 spoke about 15 years,and my rs2 came with a mint 3 spoke

Personally a thick rimmed 3 spoke is a nicer feel, but a thin rimmed 3 spoke looks better on a MK2

The mk2 Mex I rcently bought came with a mint 4 spoke , replaced it with a nice 3 spoke I have .
It's the only one for a mk2 IMO..
