Still an MOT fail though as a hydraulic method (only) of applying the "park brake" is not allowed
A "park brake" has to be by mechanical means !

Just don't park the car on a slope when the rear brakes are warm/hot. A cable handbrake has a certain amount of tension/give in it but a hydraulic handbrake hasn't, so when the brake pads/shoes or whatever start to cool slightly the brakes will release very slightly and the car will start to creep forward - or worse, run off completely.
You have been warned, Neil.Neil Fletcher Racing
