  • George Hill Dies last night

Just got the sad news from a friend that George Hill lately of Oldham ,an ex timber merchant and famous Rally Driver from the 70s passed away last night .
George did the Motoring News Championship in the early 70s and did the Casrol Autosport championship usually in Vauxhalls
His old Co Driver from Burnley died also a few years back, and there is usually a Memorial Rally at the Seven Sisters Circuit

Very well known and respected Driver on the Yorkshire events was George remember going to watch my first Rallies in the 70's and seeing the Magnum's and then Chevette in the well known Martin Group colours a replica of one of his cars will be out later this year it was built quite close to where I live and see it regularly at Wizzbang
RIP George it was a pleasure to have watched you on the stages thanks for the memories .
