For all those asking how Mandy is after her mastectomy operation,
Pleased to say all went well, went to see her last night and she was as ok as can be.
She should be home on Monday , then once she has healed , there will be chemotherapy .

She,s had her right breast removed and reconstructed, but because she is/ was large breasted they could not make her right breast to the same size as the left one , so they made left one to suit right one for now, she has the option for further reconstruction in time , but that is a long way off yet and only if Mandy wants it.

I urge all you guys to get your women to check there boobs frequently.
Earlier it's caught , the mire they can do.

I will keep you all updated on the progress

Thanks for everyones concern ,, I shall of course pass them on them to Mandy
    Cheers.
    Steve.

Please pass on my best wishes to Mandy, cancer is a horrible disease. My mother had a scare a few years ago, but she got through it OK. It's a long journey but at least Mandy knows she has a loving family to support her. Be strong.

Well just thought I would update this thread in view of the txts we have received.
As said op went well, and Mandy is doin really well , she has such a positive outlook on the outcome.

This last week she had her first chemo session , which wiped her out . Throwing up etc, sore mouth and gums , and dry lips to name a few symptoms, her biggest worry is hair loss. But she has a pretty face to make up for that.

The chemo is been given over a 24 week period so that hopefully she can carry on as normal a life has possible.

A big thank you from both of is for all the concern and supportive messages & txts.

We will keep you all informed.

                              Cheers
                              Steve & Mandy.
