following on from the previous thread .......... what happens to the insurance if the worst happens and the trailered car is involved in an accident and serious damage is caused to the trailered car ? on which insurance would the car be paid out on ? do you need special insurance to trailer your pride and joy about ?? ....................... just a thought

This is a bit of a issue
If you trailer a car then you must inform your insurer and they will charge you extra to be covered when towing , this will only cover the towing car and any 3rd party , it will not cover the car on the back
The car on the trailer will also need to be insured on its own , or your insurer for the car used as the towing vehicle may cover it , but this will be at an extra cost
Its best to tell your insurer you tow a trailor and get the extra cover , but then insure the car on the trailor , and the trailor on there own policy
