touring cars on a proper street circuit are summit to see! im too young to remember the Birmingham super prix but ive been to surfers paradise in oz for the v8 supercars and seen many street races on tv... they are so much better for action and entertainment than race circuits imo... tho the money involved and setting it up over here, closing roads ect I don't think would be offset by the spectators... it would certainly need to be a big event for the world to want to see and the contractors would need to be the sort that don't rip off the government, like what happens with EVERYTHING else!

I was at the Birmingham Super prix, fantastic.

I also worked at the time in the Wholesale markets and remember the nightmare that the council had with residents. Not everyone is in to Motorsport and some will see it as a way to extort money. I see London is to host a round of the Formula e, total waste of time and money IMO.
