    Hi All
pretty new to this, when i first insured my car i only insured it for £15k, to be honest i should have looked around more as i could not buy one for £15 ! . . .anyhow i need to increase the value on my insurance and now they want an independent valuation on the car. Any ides where and who does this in the midlands area ?

Best to be a member of a bonafide club be it RSOC, AVO or SEOC.

You can be such a tw4t at times. Does it matter?

It is the replacement cost which is important. I am sure you have yours amply covered in case the worst happens!!!

Ok cheers lads, im not a member of any club, got messed around by the rs owners club bigtime so sort of put me off clubs. Will probably speak to escort tec, dealt with these guys a few times and seem to be honest and sensible. As said im not in this to falsify and valuation, but as it was said, i just want a sensible price placing on my car, if anything god forbid happened to it i would like to think i could replace it if needed with the insurance pay out.

Most cherished insurance companies will give you a valuation based on 6 pics and your requested value, again this is just a guaranteed number to be paid out if the worst were to happen. As most of us know you can't refurbish a car to a high standard for less than sale values these days
Try Heritage (part of Norton Ins).

I'm with Heritage and they wanted photos and copy of RSOC valuation cert, what worries me is that it would cost £5k or more than the agreed value to replace my car if the worst happened.

Give em a ring then john and tell them due to market conditions you wish to raise the agreed value
