  • Alloy 16v Pinto power

Hi folks , just for the engine lovers out there here's some pics of my new engine being built by Wayne Mitchell for the next evolution of my comfy mk1 Escort street car .
No Nazi racing rules/regs for me too comply with so i'm going all out mega power 2.7 litre screamer for max attack and not bothering with the smaller under 2.5 litre versions the rally lot have too use .
Should be around 330bhp-ish and 240ibs/ft of torque (on proper Dyno-Dynamics rollers) so should be nippy .
No doubt my merry band of haters will be on here sobbing and spamming soon but seeing as they can't even keep up with my small 2 litre engine then it's best they keep quiet , lol .

sigpic 2.1 ATMO YB POWER .
Tick tock goes the clock and the clock don't lie .
12.4sec to 109mph With NO turbo , NO gay trailer , NO slicks , NO gas , NO race fuel and NO bits missing . Beat that !!!!

Underside pic of the alloy block . You can see these are very different to an iron pinto block .

Pic of my 92mm steel crank . I got lucky with this as it was only used for one event and the guy need too drop back down under 2.5 litres for new racing class rules/regs.
Out of a proper Millington engine and custom made for them by Fardon so narrow journals for low fricton and lightened/smaller counter weights etc . Saved me a few quid that's for sure as they are usually big bucks .

Gaz, yours years behind, I ran a 2.5 litre 8 valve millington engine in my Autograss car, in 2001. I suppose it's took you this long to save up for the alloy block, :-)

I know everyone gives you shit mate, but you have one hell of a car with a proper motor and now your putting together the ultimate engine for a escort or maybe a Fiat!!, I met you once at the classic ford show at Santa Pod a few years ago, you introduced me to Wayne from WPE and you were nothing like the bloke you are on the forums, I think you just like the winding people up I look forward to seeing this engine coming together, I know you will update it.

lol , i've had the block 5 years already and it was cheap as half price when i bought it . Plus it's 2.7 litres not a gay lower power 2.5 one .

My alloy block is a Worral and Grainger one cast in the UK . They've been cast in different places over the years so depends what batch you get .
