I can take heart in this as me and my partner are trying to have a family and so far not had any luck...yet

We had giving up hope, and come to the conclusion it was not to be.
So just relaxed and spent some quality time together, next thing, the wife was pregnant.
Good luck and try to relax, we found that a bottle of champagne helped

Agree,
A Polish guy who works for me, He & wife tried for 10 yrs to have a baby without success. Doctors even told them less than 1% chance without IVF (which they didnt want).
3 years ago they gave up on having a family and booked a dream summer holiday to the Carribbean, 4 weeks later his wife became pregnant. They cancelled the holiday on doctors advise & now have a healthy 3 year old boy. Dont give up.
