  • Work place banter etc...

Is this no longer allowed in the work place, or are folk to weak to take as much as they give out??

Just watched a cracking fella get fired at work because of how his humour was interpreted by others...

I manage 450 men along with a team of line managers , and I love the banter ( time and place for it ) the way I see it , you spend more time with work mates threw the week than you do with family , so have a crack ! It helps break up the day , and I feel I get more out of people because of it !!!! I did have a manager in the past that was " by the book " and a bully ! This is not the way forward and I soon got him to fu@k !

It is now the time of political correctness no commonsense and no thick skins allowed. Not allowed to settle it round back of shed etc gotta whinge and fill in paper work complaining can't let it go over the top of their head think it's got a lot to do with ignorant wqnkers getting bullshot degrees at uni never been in the real world then getting a job in polotics/public service and making laws to hide behind,I'd better stop before I really get started.

Here's my mate a nightshift foreman at an engineering factory. He was in the factory in the early hours of the morning with one of his young apprentice's doing some overtime

            Grounds for dismissal.... YES

                Vary sad !
If his work is good and he is reliable.,and a good worker ,then give him a warning even a written warning but to sack the guy just because his sense of humor upsets others is SAD !
But my Daughter and son in law live and work in OZ and have done for over 6 years ,and they find at interviews the Australians look after their own first !
Even if the other guy cannot do the work better than the English guy !
                Sad

It is crazy at our place, it is called the diversity and inclusion policy.

It is so bad that you can be talking to someone about something outside 'office hours' and if someone overhears that conversation, they can claim that they are being excluded from it!!!!
