we got there early after last years wait to get in. The freshly lengthly cut grass seemed to be a concern with peoples pride and joy, being damp in the morning didn't help matters. yes the fields over the bank wasn't ideal, some very nice cars didn't deserve to be there.

people also seemed to complain about slow entry to the event

I must add the day was very good with a great variety of cars, good to catch up with a few from here....RAX that was me in the focus saying goodbye at the end lol

The winning car was the white Escort RS Turbo (1980s) look-alike, which was actually built up on a modified Sierra Cosworth 4x4 platform and four-wheel-drive running gear, etc. Maybe it wasn't pure-bred, but that's what the 'People's Choice' was. The owner was Mark .... and I never got to know his surname.

I agree that getting in was slow, but this was because the turn out was enormous. The queueing was as bad as - say - for the RSOC National Day at Donington Park.

Me, I played the 'Old Fart's trick of turning up in my 'daily driver' (Jaguar XF, sorry guys), switching on the hazard flashers, and cruising down the right hand lane of the queue, as if I owned the place ....
