Vinyl ,on or off

Dont know what to do about the vinyl roof on the car

Shall i rip it off and not have one or keep the vinyl?

Car has a sunroof that will be staying in the car

The reason i would keep it is because it does hide the sunny a bit

Do you think a good body shop would be able to plate the sunroof hole so you couldnt tell it had had a sunroof ? I know you would be able to tell it had been plated if you did not put a vinyl bakc on . if this was the case then i would deffo be putting the vinyl back on .

Gaz,

Don't even think about having the hole plated up, the way to lose the sunroof is to put another roof skin on the car.

If anything - it's easier than making a plate and spending hours with bodge hiding the joins, the roof has a double curvature to it, so unless you cut up a perfectly good doner roof for the panel it's not worth the hassle.

If you keep the sunroof - keep the vinyl :thumbup:

Deffo not an option , cannot afford to have a new roof skin put on

so the sunroof will be staying , but still not sure on the vinyl

if you keep the sunroof then the vinyl will hide it a bit and make it look beter..imo

KEEP THE VINYL. Tis a period fixture and as said, Will hide that sunroof!!!! Why not fit a webasto with the vinyl????? Now that is cool.
