I have been looking for a extended warrenty for some protection , like if the engine goes gearbox then you could make a claim on the policy , but I can only find cover for cars upto 15 years old , then nothing .
So what I am trying to find out is , if I went to a garage and purchased a classic car , would it come with a warrenty ? From the garage/ dealer ?
Usually classic car specialists will offer some kind of warranty of their own making. There will be exclusions though. Problem is, the age of the cars. No company in their right mind would fully warranty a classic car I would have thought.
It's a good point. If you are forking out a lot of money a reputable dealer should offer warranty as you would on a new car. Having said that any warranty would be offset by the purchase price, therefore you pay one way or another.
Horses for courses.
I have never heard of a garage offering a warranty on a classic car as stated due to age and from memory warranties from private companies there's one quentin Wilson recommends although he's not biased at all that stipulates age and mileage restrictions hence why a lot of dealers like selling old classics there's no come back even in a court of law unless facts about a car can be substantiated of course
