Most folks like a flat front mk2 better than a Beaky nose version i'm sure . Sell the beak and put proper wings and front panel on rs2000 and then no difference .

Mk1 Escorts are miles better though .
sigpic 2.1 ATMO YB POWER .
Tick tock goes the clock and the clock don't lie .
12.4sec to 109mph With NO turbo , NO gay trailer , NO slicks , NO gas , NO race fuel and NO bits missing . Beat that !!!!

My red Mexico was probably a Ghia and now it's green and the engine says Vauxhall

1600 engine is part of the original cars identity and that's how I like to see them. The 1600 makes it a Mex or it become something else that resembles a flat front RS2000. If you just want an Escort for fun driving only then I suppose that's different!

I wouldn't under estimate a 1600 pinto in gt form..They will fairly tramp on when you give it the berries and do like to rev unlike a standard 2 litre.

I ve a 2ltr in my Mexico but if anything happened to the engine I would put a 1600 back in . I ve actually never driven a 1600 Mexico in my life and I offen wonder is there much of a difference compared to a standard rs 2000 ??
