Very comical this thread.
I couldn't give two hoots if I restored the car or purchased the car.
I have restored plenty of mk1 escorts in the past and on this occasion this one was purchased as a restored by others.
I completed the car to the standards I wanted it at and believe in, everyone has different opionins on how mint there car is.
The reason the car is now sold is because I purchased a RS500.
I have a huge amount of passion for Fords and always will have, there is no set value on any car, they are worth what anyone is prepared to pay.
If I wanted to buy a car that I thought was mint but perhaps overpriced then that's my hard earned money well spent in my opionin.
Who ever the new owner is will not be disappointed with car.CheeRS

Well I think there worth every penny someone is prepared to pay....gone are the days of a cheap mk1 mk2 RS.....after my experience of pensions and investing money in the Uk I would rather invest my money in these cars so at least I can enjoy and control my investment....Its just a shame my wages havnt gone through the roof like these cars otherwise I would have a warehouse full of them.....
I hope the new owner enjoys the car and still takes it to shows for others to appricate it..sigpic
