Can PayPal friends and family payment be cancelled

Hi

Got a guy in cypress wants to buy my engine and has offered to pay full price by PayPal friends and family then arrange courier to collect.

I'm very scared of being done, so can anyone see any pitfalls in doing it this way.

Paypal accepts no responsability done this way no protection!
but have done it this way also

I would think that receiving money as a gift has no pitfalls for the seller.

I remember reading about someone who sent an item overseas with buyer arranging courier, buyers payment was cancelled or bounced to courier and small print led to bill coming to seller.Sad scammers ruin things for genuine people

I sold stuff to a boy overseas the min I told him that I have sent the parcel he canceled the payment and got all his money back and I had to pay PayPal the money back that he sent me so I was robbed of my stuff , the money he sent and PayPal said the could not help me ( so I got ****ed by the both of then )

Just get him to IBAN the payment via both your banks or tell him NO WAY HOSE-A !

Was that a payment as a gift?
Was it an indirect payment maybe?

Told them I'm not interested , to many things can go wrong .

agree a price, stick it on ebay with a buy it now and pay the ebay fee, its only a few quid, if he buys it then great, if he doesnt then u get to advertise it anyway
