Remember getting "Blasted " with Pentti and his then girlfriend "Terri" at the Thistle the night before ND that year, along with Don Rogers (minilite) and John o connor (Sutton motorsport) and Chris Copeland. Pentti eventually arrived at Donington in the morning, very hung over and bleary eyed walked up to myself and Chris and vowed never to hit the "Sauce" in our presence again

Roger arrived just after lunch and drove his mk 1 to the circuit, had a beer and some lunch with jaci (my wife) and then went on to entertain everyone trackside with some very sideways / 'offside wheel waving' laps of the circuit. i had about three laps with him in the mk 1.

later, when everyone had gone home, Mathew and Ollie (Rogers Two sons) turned up along with their Mum Judy in Escort Cosworths and had a "play" on the track and on the infield, then joined by Roger in the MK 1 again. so much sideways fun .

what great memories they were, Judy had a soft Spot for my (at the time) Fox terrier named Rufus.
