          Mr Lewis Collins

A checky fella and much underrated actor.
Very saddened to hear of Lewis's passing.
As said in the BBC article, he was a part of a lot of people's formative years.
          Sad day

Was said to hear about this esp as he was a fit bloke who looked after himself.

While I've not quite reached the heights of Mr GJ...............
I can say I have had a few beers with Lewis Collins when he was in a play in the local theater a few years ago over about 3 weeks (a few years being about 18 or so thinking about it ) and what a nice guy he was, and none of this I'm an actor rubbish. Lucky for me he was down to earth and put up with the stupid questions I asked him, and he also talked about his training as one of my mates was a Para and he was into parachuting too and tried to get into the SAS but they would not take him as he was well known. He did say Gordon Jackson was a legend and a gentleman and with Martin Shaw had their moments.

              RIP Lewis Collins

Yes I agree with you here, the people I used to aspire to when I was a youngster, they are all in their 70's now, I can't believe it...or is it "I don't beliiiiiieve it!"

Lewis will be sadly missed. I loved watching The Professionals back in the 70's, I was watching them while searching for my first Mk2 RS2000! PNO came up for sale shortly after I bought mine and I was so tempted to buy it!

Safe to say he wasn't an influence on your formative years
