    from members experence is there much difference in cost between laid up insurance and on the road insurance

    Who can you reccomend to try ?

    The problem I encountered was they wanted my to cancel the road and start a new laid up cover , they were being very strict about it as the vehicles are now sorn .

      I put mine on SORN over winter and just leave the insurance running Alan, I'm not sure if insurance companys still do laid up insurance. For what it costs and the aggro of chopping and changing it's easier to do.

        My mate insured his beetle 'laid up' as he restored it. Once complete is was cheaper to insure as a finished vehicle LOL

        I kept mine insured throughout resto.

                Just leave on normal insurance for what it costs.
