What a load of shite that was today £25 wasted as it was under marshaled and loads of non payers got in and stood in a dangerous place and it got stopped. Really not as advertised and ruined the whole day

Shame to hear did you get your money back ?
It sort of goes hand in hand with the decline of WRC, was any coverage on the telly for it, I never noticed anything?
It seems a shame the way it has ended up along with BTCC, F1 has its ups and downs, but everything seems 'homogenized' and boring...Even Le Mans and the Aussie V8's are heading this way now...
Maybe it's just me getting older......
Lets hope Toyota can inject some fun with the GT86 if they go through with their threat to take it rallying.Steve

I've noticed the last two f1 races not even mentioned on the evening news ...........
and as for the BRC !!!! don't get thee started ...... 3 x 3" columns and one small pic of the ramp ceremony on Poole quay in Autosport magazine last month ..... gone are the days of a 4 page write up with pics galore !!!!

I had a good day in Glocaenog Forest watching it, cost me a total of £18 for myself & 3 kids. I did have the intention of going to watch the finish in Llandudno too (which was free) but just did'nt have the time in the end.
Should have just gone to Llandudno really as I found out later they had a Group B special stage laid on :/sigpic

It seems to be all about charging people lots of cash to see this event now! Back in the 70's you could park your car on the side of the road and walk into the forrest for free. On one accaision it did cost me something though, two RS alloy wheel centres went missing off my car. I expect I was lucky that the whole car did not disappear though.

The organisers of this stage put their hands up that they had underestimated the vast numbers that were going to turn up. They catered for 3k people and 10k people turned up causing massive traffic problems. That coupled with the poor system of money taking by the marshalls at the gate at Chirk caused frustration.
However, they were quick to remedy things after that stage with everything going very well indeed the days afterwards. They had systems in place to deal with any large numbers attending.
Next year will be a lot better apparently. They will learn from this years mistakes no doubt

I do hope the organisers draw experience from this years event and carry onward and upward.
Here is the organisers statement about the problems at Chirk
That it was not organised for us dyed in the wool old school spectators is sad but without paying spectators I suspect we will lose our WRC round.
Off to search for some coverage.
