They issued a "warning" after some rain the the other day warning of "localised standing water". When I was a lad we used to call them puddles!!
Have to add the "standing water" warning was actually the local BBC weather.

What you talkin bout ! Horrendous night here i was woken at 12:24am and pretty much been awake since. Lots of big trees by me made a horriffic roar and the house felt like it was taking a battering. Lots of trees down in hampshire looking at pics being flung around. The isle of wight recorded 99 mph winds, from there they moved north east direct to my bedroom window

Must have missed this bit of the South West coast.

Have just heard a tree has blocked a road about 2 miles inland.

Defiantly wont be talking about it in 10 years.

lots of noise as the wind and rain lashed down, wasn't as bad as I thought though, mate had 2 failed attempts to land at Bournemouth, ended up in Birmingham I think lol. power cuts in brockenhurst etc and the usual tree down.
