There's been a lot of looking back and comments on what's gone on in the past, well if it needs a kick up the arse what are we gonna do next year.

Martin, Custom, Si and myself are off to Holland/Germany/Luxembourg/France in early May for a week, yes there is a Porsche show on the cards (1 day) but the rest is just touring, eating, drinking and taking the pish, getting out and having a break and driving some lovely roads.

As Lee Bishop as said else where, the Euro Tours are excellent, if you think your MK1 or MK2 will make it why not come along ?

Shortly after that its The Lakes weekender, fingers crossed for better weather and I think Steve, Robert and the team are due a break on that front sometime. I know a lot of us old uns aren't campers anymore but it is still the best time for us all to get together.

RSOC National Day, a lot of apathy towards the club at times but again it is what you make it, I don't have an RS but I may rejoin shortly, its only £35, the club needs support and why not get the MK1 and MK2's back there in force, we did it in 2008 with a superb display, it could become a venue for a great get together again.

Irish Ford show at Portrush, a few of us did that show, in 2008 I think, another excellent time, one of the best, great laughs with Spence as my co-driver, fat bastard shagged my leaf springs...

In these Internet days its never been easier to organise something, book ferries, hotels etc, it takes nothing just a bit of commitment from people to attend.

How about stands at hill climbs, classic car shows, what about a forum autotest on private land (don't know the laws on this).

Get them out and use them next year and let's make it a belter.

        Well said son

Yes the past is gone as some of the 'newer' members keep reminding us, but unless "they" or the rest of us get our arses out and start having a laugh and taking the **** out of each other the past will keep being remembered as there is nothing happening to surpass the laughs we had.

If you dont like us old ones being nostalgic then do something and put some effort in to stop us looking backwards
        Cheers

Paul . Wigton and District MC do a few auto tests and sprints generally on airfields ( no trees to hit ) Maybe we could arrange to participate and put on a show stand

I went here a few years ago well worth a visit.

There is someone on the RSOC forum that is trying to organise a trip to the Isle Of Man, might be worth having a look at and no speed limits out of the built up areas

I miss AVO Day being at Stanford Hall, but put that behind me now, still a good show.

One of my favourites was a local show just a couple of weeks ago. Easily a couple of hundred cars.

How about Ace Cafe, central (to the southern end of the country) a lot of car clubs have an evening there.

                              I wouldn't mind arranging myself.
