Just wondered how many of you lads with long term projects have your cars SORN up to date ?

If you have bought a car that's been off the road for many years, maybe laid up before SORN came into play, as soon as you register a 'change of keeper' you must make a SORN declaration.

It's taken 3 attempts to SORN my 75 TR7 since receiving the V5 back from DVLA in my name, it won't allow you to do it online immediately after change of keeper. The car was last taxed in 91, the online form alerts you that there has been a gap in time since it was last taxed and there may be outstanding duty "do you wish to proceed"

Q: How long do the filters last?
A: The primary filters are the first barrier against airborne pollutants. Therefore, it makes perfect sense to keep these washable filters clean, and change them every couple of years or so, depending on the storage conditions. The inner Activated Carbon Filters are constantly working 24-7 to improve the storage conditions within the Carcoon. For best results, the Carbon filters should be changed after the equivalent of one year's continual use. When deployed only for normal winter use, this equates to every two years

I believe change of keeper over rules this, as it will probably move location you have to state that it is SORN'd or taxed, could be wrong as I'm only right most of the time

When I bought REG last year, It had not been on the road since 1994. I did not have to declare it SORN.

Make a SORN only if the tax disc for your vehicle runs out on or after 31 January 1998.
