Yeah, if your battery is seriously low on charge, these things won't touch it. I've got a few of these to keep my cars topped up, but also have a 'proper' charger for when someone leaves the lights on overnight...

You need a battery conditioner as this looks after your battery not cooks it on permanent charge over winter
