I'll get the pics sent on, no probs.
Yes my name was first out and anyone who knows me will tell you that mk2's are the only one for me. And i am old skool.
The lad that got the second ticket was after the mk2 as well. He was offering cash and the mk6 for the mk2. Must say he had a firm hand shake, but i was not giving in.
Now i can have a standard one and something a bit trick. Watch out for the winter re-build.
2 mk2's I feel blessed

I know a little of the history of the car ; it was owned by a couple of guys in and around Essex prior to the club buying it. The previous owner (Mick Bryant) was one of my school class mates ! Before Mick had it, it was owned by "Big Freddy" other wise known as Ian - another Essex group Man, and a very good friend of Andy Moggridge, who also had a white RS2000 (not very well known though LOL)
The car had new front springs, poly bushes, rear brakes including drums a full service, the bootlid re-painted, new wheels and tyres (see Mr O'Neill for further details on the wheels LOL) as when it was sold to the club it had polished Capri laser rims with 175/50 x 13's on. The engine in the car has been recently replaced too, with a late Sierra engine, as the one in it let go in a large way (This broken one is outside my workshop going rusty !!) I supplied quite a few parts, including the n/s adjustable mirror, which Mick bought from me at Ford fair in about 1998 !!!
I know the car was off the road for a long while as Mick moved to the West Country and didn't use it at all in that time.
The interior trim is lovely, and the 3 spoke RS leather wheel has a genuine Ford boss on it.
I'm dead jealous Mate.

It drives better than my Red one, not as much power though.
I think the pedal lock has nacked the front discs, got a spare set.
It ran ok all the way home. Gave it a little stretch on the last bit of road, didn't seem to run as good after. Then i remembered back to when i first got my Red one, It must have points for the ignition still.
So some small upgrades will be planned. But don't worry it will remain looking standard with the 21st Century gear well hidden.
I also now have somewhere to put the rear seat belt set i have, the C pillar covers are black though not white like the ones that are in.
Think I'm going to enjoy this one for a long time too. 16 years and counting of the first one, see what i can do with this one.
